Able to manipulate and project divine energy that manifests as a non-burning, bluish-white flame. This can be used in the form of attacks (both ranged and melee), healing, shields and other protection, self-propelled flight, and, due to the nature of the deity he serves, limited emotional manipulation through the medium of music. His powers also provide a potent mental shield to protect him from mental attack and intrusion. He is also an accomplished martial artist, mixing a variety of fighting styles to form his own method of combat.
Born into an unloving and wealthy family in Oxford, England, Paladin was taken to the hidden Monastery of Sha'lek at the age of six. (Why this happened when his older brother went to a normal boarding school is still a mystery.)
His time at the monastery yeilded an experience that changed his life. Being raised by Sha'lek and the masters of the monastery, he grew into the man he is today. Upon leaving the monastery, he travelled the country for six months, fighting crime, and spending a lot of time in Chicago, before settling in Paragon City.
